Important: Import the ACF Settings

Import Ripple's ACF field group for Divi's existing Project post type.

Ripple uses Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) only to extend Divi's existing Project post type. The included field group adds extra project information that Ripple displays on its single Project page.

The import does not create any custom post types. It adds fields to the Project post type that is already included with Divi.

Before You Begin

The Advanced Custom Fields plugin is installed automatically during the demo import process.

The ACF import file is supplied in a ZIP archive named [Unzip-First] ACF Import.zip. You cannot upload this ZIP file directly to ACF; it must be unzipped first.

After extracting the archive, you will find:

  • ACF Import.json

Import the ACF JSON File

  1. Unzip [Unzip-First] ACF Import.zip on your computer.

  2. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

  3. Go to ACF → Tools.

  4. Open the Import section.

  5. Click Choose File and select ACF Import.json.

  6. Click Import JSON.

  7. Wait for ACF to confirm that the import completed successfully.

What the Import Adds

The JSON file imports the ACF settings used by Ripple, including:

  • An ACF field group assigned to Divi's existing Project post type

  • Additional fields for individual Project entries

  • Project information that the Ripple single Project page can display alongside the standard Divi project content

No new post types are created by this import.

Add Content to a Project

  1. In the WordPress dashboard, go to Projects.

  2. Create a new Project or open an existing one.

  3. Complete the additional Ripple fields on the Project editing screen.

  4. Save or update the Project.

Ripple uses the saved field values to display more information on that Project's single page.

Important

Do not import the ZIP archive into ACF. If ACF reports an invalid file, confirm that you extracted the archive and selected ACF Import.json itself.

If the additional fields do not appear on a Project editing screen, refresh the WordPress dashboard and confirm that the Advanced Custom Fields plugin is active and the JSON import completed successfully.
