Important: Import the ACF Settings

Import Crest's ACF configuration for the testimonial and changelog management features.

Crest uses Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to power its testimonial and changelog management features. You must import the included ACF JSON file to add the required custom post types, field groups, and custom fields to WordPress.

Before You Begin

The plugin is automatically installed after demo import process.

The ACF import file is supplied in a ZIP archive named [Unzip-First] ACF Import.zip. You cannot upload this ZIP file directly to ACF—it must be unzipped first.

After extracting the archive, you will find the following file:

  • ACF Import.json

Import the ACF JSON File

  1. Unzip [Unzip-First] ACF Import.zip on your computer.

  2. Log in to your WordPress dashboard.

  3. Go to ACF → Tools.

  4. Open the Import section.

  5. Click Choose File and select ACF Import.json.

  6. Click Import JSON.

  7. Wait for ACF to confirm that the import has completed successfully.

What the Import Adds

The JSON file imports the ACF settings required by Crest, including:

  • Custom post types for client testimonials and changelog entries

  • Custom fields used to manage testimonial information

  • Custom fields used to manage product updates and changelog details

  • The field groups and settings that connect this content to the Crest layouts

Once the import is complete, the testimonial and changelog options should appear in your WordPress dashboard. You can then add, edit, and manage entries without changing the Divi page layouts manually.

Important

Do not import the ZIP archive into ACF. If you receive an invalid-file message, make sure you have extracted the archive and selected the ACF Import.json file itself.

If the new post types or fields do not appear immediately, refresh the WordPress dashboard and confirm that the Advanced Custom Fields plugin is active.
